Effects-laden blockbuster about a huge reptile which emerges from the sea to wreak havoc in Manhattan. On a research trip to Chernobyl, a young scientist discovers a startling link between genetic mutation and radioactivity. When a fishing trawler is attacked by an unseen creature, and other evidence of a massive reptilian creature is unearthed, he realises that the creature is following a destructive path to New York.
