Exile In Buyukada
Leon Trotsky, a key figure in Russia's 1917 October Revolution and the rise of the Soviet Union, was exiled by Stalin in 1929 after a power struggle. Searching for a safe haven to write and strategize, he settled in Buyukada, Istanbul, from 1929 to 1933. Narrated by Vanessa Redgrave, this film blends re-enactments and archive footage to recount his time in Turkey.
