Gopala a simpleton takes law into his hands and kills the woman in the village who happens to be the cause of breaking a lot of marriages. Rangaa takes the blame and is convicted for the murder. Guilt drives Gopala crazy and the only way he can be free from it is when Rangaa gets released and confesses to the world that he was innocent.
