During World War II, German POWs are imprisoned in Camp McKenzie in the Scottish Highlands. Led by their fanatical Nazi captain, the interns make life intolerable for the camp commander, who sends for an army intelligence officer to help control the situation. The new military arrival soon discovers that the disruptions in the camp are merely a cover for an imminent breakout attempt.
