For Whom the Bell Tolls

Robert Jordan is the idealist who joins the Republicans and is charged with blowing up a strategically important bridge. Among the group aiding him are Maria, with who he falls in love, Pablo, the drunken leader of the group and his wife Pilar, who eventually takes charge.
