The Eric Bristow vs Phil Taylor 1997 match was a legendary semi-final at the PDC World Darts Championship, a classic "mentor vs. protégé" battle where Taylor narrowly beat Bristow 5-4 in sets, marking one of Bristow's last great performances before retiring from the spotlight, as Taylor went on to win his fifth world title.

League Leader at the time, Michael Van Gerwen produced a sensational performance as he whitewashed James Wade 7-0 in the second match of the night to secure a place in the play offs. The Phil Taylor vs Chris Mason World Matchplay quarter final in 2002 is famous for Phil Taylor's first televised nine dart finish, earning him 100,000 and marking a historic moment in darts, with Taylor winning the match 16-7 after the perfect leg.

The famous Raymond van Barneveld vs. Michael van Gerwen match in 2016 was actually at the end of 2015/start of 2016 PDC World Championship (R16), where Barney stunningly beat the World No. 1, MVG, 4-3 in a classic, considered one of the best matches ever, featuring huge averages and Barney's incredible finishing to knock out the favourite.

The 2004 PDC World Darts Championship final between Phil Taylor and Kevin Painter was an epic, sudden-death thriller where Taylor won his 11th world title by hitting double five in the deciding leg after Painter had led 4-1 in sets. It's considered one of darts' greatest finals.
