Hank gets caught off guard during a visit to Levon's flat. Charlie and Marcy attempt to work through Charlie's private issues. Charlie then accompanies Hank to his first day as a writer on 'Santa Monica Cop'.

Hank has an intimate notes session with 'Santa Monica Cop's' female lead, Amy Taylor Walsh, while the male lead, Hashtag Black, has his eyes on Julia. As Charlie tries to manage Goldie, his head-case client, Stu makes him an offer.

Hank's script needs to be rewritten, Julia's new boss offers career advice, and Charlie and Marcy consider Stu's offer.

The ratings are in for 'Santa Monica Cop' - and Hank may soon be out of a job, which sends Charlie reeling. With the revenue stream drying up, Marcy decides to accept Stu's offer. Karen arrives with a special guest: Becca, who makes an announcement.
