The amateur cooks have one hour to recreate their signature dishes for the judges' first auditions, as the judges and nine past winners offer their support.

On the first day of dessert challenges, the 12 contestants are tasked to cook their dishes in 30 minutes with ingredients from the Mystery Box chosen by Adriano Zumbo.

The winner of the mystery box challenge and the contestants of the winning team in the invention test relay battle it out to obtain the immunity pin.

Cake artist Katherine Sabbath is welcomed as the guest judge, and introduces one of her cake designs, a raspberry white vanilla layered cake with tempered white chocolate raspberry bark.

The chefs have only 45 minutes to cook a prawn dish with their assigned cuisine: French, Greek, Mexican, Spanish, Thai and Vietnamese.

It is time for another immunity challenge, with a cook-off against Alanna Sapwell, head chef of Saint Peter restaurant.
