The amateur cooks have one hour to recreate their signature dishes for the judges' first auditions, as the judges and nine past winners offer their support.

The grand finale includes an intricate dessert composed of 19 elements, such as yoghurt snow, steamed vanilla sponge and coconut ice-cream, before the winner is announced.

The remaining contestants have to name the ingredients of Gary Mehigan's Moroccan tajine, as well as take a blindfold identification test.

It is time for another immunity challenge, with a cook-off against Alanna Sapwell, head chef of Saint Peter restaurant.

The winners of the invention test and mystery box face off against each other in round one, with the winner going up against a professional cook in round two, and fast tracking their place to finals week.

On the first day of dessert challenges, the 12 contestants are tasked to cook their dishes in 30 minutes with ingredients from the Mystery Box chosen by Adriano Zumbo.
