Zane has a surprise, his dad bought the café and made him manager. He renamed it after Rikki, whom he makes a full partner.

Rikki is frustrated by the water attacks and goes to Mako Island on a full moon to confront the strange force in the Moon Pool, but Will pursues her while Cleo and Bella are delayed.

Will and Bella discover they're the new kids in school. He's determined to return to Mako island and search for the cave entrance to find out what happened to him.

Cleo is introduced to Ryan, a young geophysicist who is working for Samantha. When Rikki does not react well to Cleo consulting Ryan about the Mako rock, cracks begin to show.

Rikki and Bella hide out at Cleo's to protect themselves from a full moon water attack. Bella's kidnapped by a water tentacle and taken to Mako. Lewis tries to keep Will away.

Don and Sam get married and Lewis gets a scholarship to the American Marine Biology Institute and has to find a way to tell Cleo that he wants to go.
