Halstead and Manning's wedding day is interrupted when Halstead is forced to make a house call. Charles treats a woman who stabbed her husband. Meanwhile, Choi and April deliver a breech baby, and Rhodes and Bekker operate on an FBI witness.

A shooting outside the hospital injures April and leaves the ED shaken up. Elsewhere, Halstead returns from a witness relocation program, Charles and Elsa have an emotional confrontation, and Bekker is reluctant to attend an event honouring Rhodes.

Dr. Choi and Dr. Marcel don't see eye to eye over the treatment of a patient's chronic pain. Rumours circulate about Maggie and Dr. Manning works to help a young boy, but she is challenged by his parents who believe in only using holistic remedies.

Manning and her 3-year-old patient are trapped in a helicopter as the toddler's stats decline; Charles isn't sure Choi's alcoholic patient with liver failure has quite hit rock bottom.

Halstead is criticized for making an unauthorized move to treat his pregnant patient, and Choi becomes personally invested when treating a homeless veteran. Meanwhile, Rhodes and Bekker deal with a patient who desperately needs a liver transplant.
