When Clark confronts Bizarro, the last wraith from the Phantom Zone, the ensuing fight causes the dam to break, unleashing a torrent of water. Having just been arrested for Lana Lang's murder, Lex Luthor is submerged underwater in a patrol car. Until, that is, a mysterious young woman saves him.

Lex tracks the amnesiac Kara to Detroit, where Lois follows him. An obsessive busboy infatuated with Kara shoots Lex, and Chloe has to determine whether to heal him or not.
