Once aspiring to be as strong as a crocodile, Croc's misjudged sense of loyalty led him to jail at the mere age of seventeen. When he is released from jail, he seeks refuge from Chief Liu, his previous gang leader who is now a supervisor at the local government councilor's office. Croc asks for a job from Chief Liu as he wants to reintegrate into society and live a normal life. One day, Croc is assigned by Chief Liu to serve the locals. He is told to work with Zhi-ping Chen, a young and headstrong farmer demanding answers for the water blockages at her farm. The first time they meet each other, Zhi-ping sarcastically points out that Croc knows nothing about farmland. Not wanting to be looked down upon, Croc looks into the water blockage issues by all means. After several twists and turns, he discovers that the water is secretly interceded by someone. He discovers collusion between the government official and local businessmen. The pair accidentally get plunged into a huge political manipulation. Chief Liu who wants a share of the profit demands Croc to chase Zhi-ping out of the farmland, but Croc gradually becomes protective of Zhi-ping. Despite all their bickering, the pair even develop feelings for each other. Trapped in a cruel food chain and torn between love and career, can Croc break the chain and transform into a powerful crocodile that never lets go of his target?
