Born in Aleppo, Syria’s historic cultural crossroads, Mouna grew up surrounded by the aromas, flavors, and traditions of her mother’s kitchen. Forced into exile during the civil war, she rebuilt her identity through food, transforming memories of home into a culinary journey. From volunteering at Amnesty International to launching her own catering company in London, Mouna’s story is one of resilience, love, and the power of cooking to preserve heritage and bring communities together. In 2025, she was honored among CODE Hospitality’s Women of the Year, a recognition of her inspiring journey and impact.
