Gyeo Ul's birthday is forgotten by her husband and his family, whom she has lived with since marrying Yu Jin; feeling the pressure to have a baby from her mother-in-law, she stops taking her medication for her bronchial condition.

Gyeo Ul is looking forward to her upcoming trip to a resort with Yu Jin, but she is unaware that Ae Ra, who she trusts the most, will also be there; Tae Yang is unable to forgive himself for hurting someone and is experiencing great emotional pain.

A pickpocket steals Young Ran's wallet at the mall, and she blames Tae Yang; she learns he has a rap sheet and becomes more convinced of his guilt; Gyeo Ul tries to explain the truth, but Young Ran lashes out at her.

Hyun Tae accepts Yu Jin's apology, but he becomes more hostile to Gyeo Ul after they leave his house.
