On her first evening on a break back in her hometown, Céline discovers that a decomposed body has been dug up in her Uncle Leopold’s apple orchard. Whose body is it and who dug it up?

Céline is surrounded by entanglements in Applegrove. She wants her cousin Véronique's cold case re-opened and she must question her childhood sweetheart, Damien, the head of a rival clan.
