The Great British Benefits Handout

TV Show · Reality

`The Great British Benefits Handout' follows unemployed families as they take part in a social experiment. Households currently living on national benefits are given a maximum of £26000 each, per year, in installments. This series aims to give three of those families an opportunity to manage the annual handout in one lump sum, hoping the cash could potentially help them find employment or even start a business. After each group is given £26000 upfront, they are followed by cameras to reveal how they choose to spend their money and whether they succeed in getting off the benefit wagon.
