Partners in Law

In episode 1 we’re thrown straight into the courtroom, where Erik Aber is face to face with a full audience and his best friend – accused of murder. From there on we’re introduced to the other partners in the law firm Aber Bergen – Elea Bergen, Diana Drange (Line Verndal) and Magnus Braseth (Torgny Aanderaa).

Aber becomes anxious when the IRS search his records. Elea prepares to sue Haukeland hospital for a terminally ill mother who was wrongly diagnosed and is now worried about the future of her son.

The tax audit at Aber Bergen seems to never end, which creates marital turmoil at the law firm. The mayor has an incompetent advisor who allegedly cheated on his exam – a case Erik Aber usually wouldn’t take. When the prosecutor turns out to be from his father in laws firm, he changes his mind. The mayors advisor turns out to have a more checkered past than what Erik presumes. Also, associate Unn Frøynes gets her first case, where she has to defend a woman with twelve cats.

Erik Aber gets a punch in the face by a fake police officer and realises he's about to get in too deep. Nikolay Wallén and Unn Frøynes' relationship gets tested as they are forced to work together.

Erik and Elea's son surprises them with a visit, but the surprise is on him when he sees what they have been up to. Elea goes to settle things with the manager of Fjord Harwest and confides in Diana for support.

The mayor of Bergen is once again in the spotlight. This time for allegedly sending harassing text-messages to one of her colleagues. Magnus Braseth takes the case, while Erik Aber has his hands full with defending Linda Lelands alleged killer. All the while, Diana and Unns relationship is becoming more difficult.
