Monty Don's French Gardens

Monty Don, a veteran presenter of gardening programmes, travels through France telling the stories of its most important and extravagant gardens. The three-part series brings Don back to a country he first encountered as a 15 year old, with many visits since but without a chance to properly explore the historic and cultural significance of its gardens. This time, starting in Aix-en-Provence, he gets that chance by looking at gardens that fit into three very distinct themes - history, art and food - that are central to both French gardens and French culture.
