Meiji Tokyo Renka

It is the night of a crimson full mood and Ayazuki Mei, a high school student is tempted to enter a magical box by a strange magician named Charlie. She wakes up to find herself in an unfamiliar park.

Mei is considered a suspect by an officer named Fujita Goro during a party at the Rokumeikan, but Ougai calls her his precious fiancé. Ougai offers her a place to stay until she regains her memory.

Mei decides to help Syunso search for the black cat; Koizumi Yakumo asks Mei to help investigate paranormal happenings at his hotel.

Ougai's aunt brings him pictures of possible marriageable young women, but he tells her Mei is his fiancé. He also informs her that he will formally present her at a party scheduled at the Rokumeikan the next month.

Mei undergoes strict instruction from a geisha named Otoyakko to become a proper lady worthy of being Ougai's fiancée; she struggles desperately to learn how to wear a kimono, how to carry herself and etiquette.

Mei tries to help Otoyakko by going to a party as a geisha; Kyoka gets roped into dressing up; Mei does her best to entertain the guests.
