Los Muchachos Revolution Circus

Fifteen children and a motorbike is how the story of Father Silva, Benposta and his unusual embassy begins. Starting from its premiere in Barcelona in 1966, the circus goes on to become a resounding success.

After a disastrous start in France, the circus is reborn and puts on a performance at the Grand Palais, winning over Le Tout Paris. Benposta Ourense becomes an educational benchmark.

The end of the dictatorship gives rise to the birth of a new Spain, to which Benposta is unable to adapt. This has no impact on the circus, and its international success takes it on a whirlwind tour across five continents.

On the cusp of the 1990s, the problems get worse. Benposta no longer makes sense in the Spanish welfare state and it is running out of children. However, the priest, undaunted by despair, searches for them in South America and Africa.

The war for the future of Benposta continues and enters its bloodiest episode yet, which is the revolt of the former Muchachos. It is a fratricidal struggle that ends with the closure of Benposta Ourense and the death of the priest.
