Jane McDonald: From Pole to Pole

Jane McDonald steps out of her comfort zone on a mission to the ends of the earth in search of bucket-list adventures. Starting in the Antarctic peninsula, she braves dangerous Antarctic waters, and explores mountainous glacial terrain.

In South Georgia and the Falklands Islands, Jane follows in the footsteps of explorer Shackleton, celebrates conservation victories, and meets people who've settled remotely.

On the first South American leg, Jane tours Uruguay, where she enjoys a barbecue and visits a vineyard. Jane continues to Brazil and embarks on a thrilling speedboat tour - exploring caves, learning about local legends, and seeing dolphins up close.

Jane takes a jeep tour of beautiful Ilhabela and witnesses 'singing rocks', sails along the Costa Verde coast, and takes a cable car to the top of Rio's Sugarloaf Mountain.

Jane's epic trip continues in the Med as she sails through the 19th century Corinth Canal, explores historic streets in Gallipoli, follows in the footsteps of movie legends in Sicily, and soaks up the glamour of Capri.

Jane reaches her final destination, Svalbard, a remote and rugged wilderness deep in the Arctic Circle where Jane kayaks in icy fjords, encounters polar bears and Atlantic walruses, and visits the longest glacier in the Northern hemisphere.
