When Joe invents a super battery (The SparkesMaster) he catches the attention of Professor Polonium and her sidekick Crumpton, who want the battery to power their new rescue suit. In the meantime, PC Malcolm is very excited, the town is opening a new police station and welcoming their very own Sergeant that will be stationed in Pontypandy. Sergeant Rose Ravani is delighted to be in Pontypandy and particularly pleased to have the latest computer and control centre – although it does outfox Steele when he tries to use it. All seems to be going well for Malcolm, but the thing he misses most about the big city is not having any big mysteries to solve.
