Ambitious renovators head to France to compete for the ultimate prize - the keys to a stunning £250,000 chateau. In heat one, creativity and tempers are tested, as run-down garages are transformed into elegant entertainment spaces.

It's decision day and one couple's dream of a new life in France hangs in the balance. Max is joined by Chateau DIY's Stephanie Jarvis, as they put the contestants' entertainment spaces to the test.

As the first heat reaches its midpoint, Max's latest renovation challenge pushes the remaining three pairs' creativity, skill and nerves to the limit. Each pair must deliver standout work to prove that they deserve to stay.

The three remaining pairs have poured everything into transforming their bedrooms, but only the teams with the strongest creativity, design and finish will impress enough to keep their place in the competition.

In the final showdown of heat one, the last two pairs head to Château de Lalacelle where they must plan and host a real event for real guests. Who'll rise to the occasion and go through to the grand final?
