Debra is upset that Ray has a problem showing affection for her. Her anger is nothing, however, compared with her reaction when he shares his problem with his interfering parents.

Debra takes it upon herself to prepare the Thanksgiving dinner but, not wishing to have her turkey compared to Marie's, decides to cook fish. Threatened by Debra's unorthodox plan, Marie resorts to extreme culinary measures.

Robert and Ray fight over a stray bulldog similar to the one Ray was forced to give up as a child. Ray wants to keep the dog but at Debra's request he reluctantly gives it away to Robert.
