Brenda and the squad investigate the death of a hairdresser and discover a history of domestic violence. Later, Brenda is surprised when her parents pay her a visit but annoyed when they spend much of the trip asking her when she plans to get married.

When a good-looking young anchor from a rival network asks Kelly out on a date, Chuck jumps to the conclusion that the anchor is only trying to steal Kelly from the station; that he couldn't possibly be serious about her. Kelly is none too impressed.
