Susan and Toadie attend a meeting with the Prosecutor. Toadie outlines their case, pleading that his client acted in self-defence, but it is only when Susan speaks up that the Prosecutor, impressed by her honesty, agrees to drop all charges. There is cause for celebration at the Kennedy household and Toadie fires up the pizza oven, unaware that it contains Bea's diary.

Bea discovers what Liz has done and is furious. Looking for ways to make amends and be closer to her daughters, Liz considers buying a home locally, but Bea makes her feelings clear, if Liz moves to Erinsborough, she will leave. Meanwhile, Susan is offered the chance to participate in a medical trial in Sydney and Elly is pleased when Liz offers to look after her while she is there.

Gary pleads with Xanthe not to give up her offer of a place at Toowoomba University. Gary wants to apologise to Dipi for putting her in hospital, but Shane sees red when he finds him and violently throws him out of the house.
