The Hecks prepare to drop off Sue and Axl at college, but they face obstacles. Brick is worried when Cindy says they should take their relationship to the next level.

Brick learns that his quirky girlfriend, Cindy, wants him to kiss her on Valentine's Day. Darrin asks Frankie and Mike for help with a scavenger hunt he's planning for Sue, and Axl questions a request from his girlfriend.

Mike wants to get rid of the swimming pool and Brick and Sue try to convince him to keep it even though they are no longer interested in using it. Frankie tries to teach Axl about responsibility.

Frankie searches for Axl's misplaced graduation gift. Sue decides to make a video for Mike's upcoming birthday and Cindy embarrasses Brick by defending him to a bully.

Axl returns home from Europe with a new outlook on life. Sue decides to cram a whole summer of fun into two days. Brick doesn't know if he should break up with Cindy. Frankie tries to come up with an item for a time capsule.

With four months of college left, Axl realises he hasn't sent out any job resumes. Meanwhile, Brad agrees to lead Sue's a cappella group in a music competition.
