Shanmugham visits Chennai with his mother in search of his father. When they get to the place, they see him living with his second wife. In the ensuing tussle, Shanmugham's mother is killed, and his father sends him out to beg. He leaves with his mother's body. An auto driver helps Shanmugham in cremating the body, and advises him to go back to his own city.
