The Pacific War - Fight for the Islands

The war in the Pacific had to be carried westwards by the United States, if they wanted to end the conflict victoriously. However, the vast distances of the largest ocean required accessible bases. Jumping from island to island was the only way to bring the war ever closer to the Japanese motherland.
