Having spent most of his time in the US, Vijay does not understand or believe in the institution of marriage. Looking at his casual attitude, his father convinces him to get married. He agrees but lays down a condition wherein at the end of the year he'll decide whether to continue their marriage or not. His father selects Priya, an employee at their office, to marry Vijay.
