After apprehending Public Enemy No 3, ace reporter Brenda Starr learns her job is in jeopardy when her ill-tempered editor informs her that without a big scoop her paper will go bust. The chic newshound immediately sets sail down the Amazon in search of a mad scientist and his doomsday device. Brenda's toughest challenge comes when she is forced to choose between the handsome Basil St John and her enamoured illustrator.
