American Splendor

Harvey Pekar is a hospital clerk who loves jazz and is in a slightly depressive relationship with Joyce Brabner, but he becomes famous through his friendship with cartoonist Robert Crumb, who takes Harvey's stickman-illustrated musings on his everyday life and turns them into one of America's most successful cult comic books.
