Episode 4
S1, E4: Adrian Edmondson presents the observational documentary series looking at the stories behind a summer in the Yorkshire Dales. With its incredible landscape and stunning landmarks including Bolton Abbey and Aysgarth Falls, the Dales is spectacularly beautiful - but the area can also be a challenging environment for the people who live in some of its remote communities. In this episode, Adrian visits Ann Chapman, a real-life Vicar of Dibley whose parish includes four rural Dales churches. Cameras also follow ethical fashion designer Izzy Lane and farmer Ernest Ayre as they attempt to track down a randy ram on the loose in their sheep sanctuary. Ade gets in on the action when he catches up with 16-year-old shepherd Phillip Mellin and his mum and tries his hand at sheepdog training. Phillip has just left school and together with his mum is taking on the running of the family farm after the death of his dad last year.
