JD argues with the Chief of Medicine, but Turk is jealous when the staff show his best friend a new level of respect. Meanwhile, the Janitor convinces JD that he has been hypnotised and Carla is attracted to her new intern.

The new interns are put to the ultimate test when they're asked to perform in the annual sketch show.

JD plans to move closer to Sam and tries to make peace with Kim. He discovers that she has a new boyfriend: Elliot's ex-boyfriend Sean. Meanwhile, Turk rallies the troops at Sacred Heart to help him campaign for a promotion to chief of surgery.

During the final moments of his last day, JD begins to wonder about the future after he leaves Sacred Heart, if his relationship with Elliot will survive, or if he will remain close to his best friend Turk, and even if Dr Cox will miss him when he is gone.

A full moon and a healthy dose of bad luck bring Sacred Heart's new crop of interns their roughest case load yet, while Elliot has a revelation about her future as a doctor.
