To appease his worried mother Sheldon employs the techniques of a self-help book to try and make a friend.

When George Sr. is rushed to the emergency room Meemaw comes to babysit; the kids have an adventure getting to the hospital on their own.

In the season premiere episode Sheldon dismantles the refrigerator to stop an annoying hum; and then must get a paper route to pay for the repairs.

Sheldon welcomes Missy to the world of atheism by encouraging her to question the Bible. Also, Meemaw is determined to catch George, Sr. in a lie; and Mary helps Pastor Jeff (series regular MATT HOBBY) search for a youth pastor.

A worried Mary sends Sheldon to Sunday school after she finds him playing Dungeons & Dragons with Tam and Billy; but Sheldon is inspired to study a variety of religions.

While Mary’s away, George finds himself giving advice on Missy’s love life. Meanwhile, Sheldon and Dr. Linkletter struggle to solve an equation; and Georgie has a solution for Meemaw’s business woes.
