Spencer Williams

Spencer Williams Jr. was an American actor, film director, and screenwriter. He was a pioneering African American filmmaker from the late 1920s through the 1940s, directing a number of notable race films including The Blood of Jesus. He saw further popularity in the 1950s as an actor, portraying Andy on TV's The Amos 'n' Andy Show.
