One of One is a groundbreaking documentary film that follows maverick patriarch Masao Naito of the Naito family auto business, Japan’s most artful and precise classic car restoration shop. Masao’s father Shinichi started the business during WWII servicing European and American cars for foreign GI’s stationed in Japan and made his son promise him that Naito Auto would live for at least three generations more. The film explores the family’s inspiration, obsession, ambition and sacrifice. As Masao nears retirement, can he trust his children to continue his legacy and fulfil his dying wish?
