Neuer Wind im alten Land

Beke, once a celebrated journalist for top newspapers, sees her career implode after a disastrous collaboration with an unreliable source. Humiliated and unemployed, she returns to her childhood home, forced to accept a position at the local "Altländer Zeitung" only because of her mother's pleading. Stripped of her former glory, Beke now resides in her old bedroom, grappling with the remnants of her past success and trying to navigate a future that feels unexpectedly unfamiliar.

Beke Rieper is tasked with reporting on the new radio system at the harbor but stumbles upon a stowaway who has lost her memory and seemingly cannot speak. Intrigued by the mystery of what happened to this young woman, Beke is eager to uncover her story. However, her chief editor dismisses the potential for a story there, leaving Beke torn between following her curiosity and meeting her professional obligations.
