Mara Breuer, haunted by a traumatic kidnapping on the Danish coast two decades ago, has been battling a severe case of post-traumatic stress disorder. Despite numerous attempts, she has found little solace or recovery over the years. Her persistent struggle leads her and her devoted mother, Charlotte, to a clinic on the shores of the Baltic Sea. There, they embark on what they hope is a final, decisive round of therapy.
