Never On the First Night
Julie is a lively young woman, but perpetually unlucky in love. Getting dumped by a courier at work seems to be the final straw. But when she discovers the book “Happiness Can Be Learned,” it becomes her new bible and she starts following its advice to the letter, both at work and in her love life. Her new obsession with positive thinking leaves her two best friends skeptical, though their own relationships aren’t doing much better. One, Louise, is having a secret affair with her boss; the other, Rose, is stuck in a relationship that’s run its course. A regular at a local bookstore, where she devours the self-help section, Julie is about to meet people who just might change her life.
