On a rainy evening in Wiesbaden, the alluring Susanne goes for a jog along the edge of the city forest. Shortly thereafter, a passerby discovers her lifeless body, adorned with a chrysanthemum like a grim memorial. The police, led by detectives Winnie Heller and Hendrik Verhoeven, confirm that Susanne was strangled. They first suspect Susanne's husband, Gernot, who fails to provide an alibi for the time of the crime.
