Bécassine

Bécassine is born in a modest Breton farm on a day when woodcocks fly over the village. As an adult, her childlike naivety remains intact. She dreams of going to Paris, but her encounter with Loulotte, a baby adopted by the Marquise de Grand-Air, changes her life. She becomes Loulotte’s nanny, and a strong bond develops between them. A joyful spirit reigns in the château, but for how long? Debts pile up, and the arrival of an unreliable Greek puppeteer only makes things worse. But Bécassine is determined to prove once again that she is the woman for the job.
