The Indian Doctor

When their local doctor passes away, the residents of a sleepy Welsh mining village are surprised by the arrival of his replacement, Prem Sharma, who has arrived from India.

A couple of weeks have passed since Dr. Prem Sharma and his wife Kamini arrived in Trefelin, and colliery manager Richard Sharpe is still desperate to find a mysterious diary left behind by Prem's predecessor, Dr. Elwyn.

When Dan gets into trouble, only Mrs. Sharma, the doctor's wife, can help him; the doctor's friendship with Megan deepens as they realize that the old doctor's diary holds vital clues to the deteriorating health of the local miners.

Dr. Sharma comes up with a plan to diagnose the miners' health problems; an unusual van arrives in the village and the driver, a rugby player, creates a real stir; the doctor's luck may be changing for the better.

The village of Trefelin prepares for the annual summer fete, but there's a lot going on behind the scenes; Dr. Sharma prepares to leave the village for good; Mrs. Sharma goes in search of the missing Dan.
