Love and Marriage

Pauline is distraught when her father, Frank, has an accident and her husband's indifference pushes her to seek out a better life for herself.

Pauline begins her new life with a new hairstyle and a date, but her daughter reports all of this back to her dad; Heather's paranoia over her husband is made worse by a dance rival.

Kevin's financial troubles lead to desperate acts; Ken feigns illness to try and win Pauline back, but she ignores him; Pauline makes an awful discovery while in a fancy hotel with her new date.

Rowan fears that her unconventional family is falling apart; Heather tells Ashley that he is the father of her baby, but decides to bring it up as Charlie's.

While Pauline and Ken get some relationship counseling, Martin and Michelle decide to swap roles, with Michelle going to work and Martin staying at home.

Ken realizes it's time to accept that his relationship with Pauline is over and starts making changes, but soon finds that he doesn't like this new life.
