Lilly invites Miley to a Hannah Montana concert; Jackson needs money for a date.

Miley worries that Oliver's obsession with Hannah Montana has gone too far and decides to do something drastic to cure him of his crush.  Exploiting the knowledge that he has a strong aversion to people who chomp their gum, she puts on her Hannah disguise and Lilly arranges a coincidental beachfront meeting with Oliver.  When Oliver discovers that not only does Hannah Montana chomp her gum, but she is not above putting it back in her mouth after it has fallen in the sand, he is still not cured of his obsession so Miley finally resorts to revealing her true identity.

Miley and Jackson sneak out of the house to check out the latest Ashton Kutcher film and inadvertently spot Robby at the same theatre on a date.  Determined to learn more about the woman, Miley dresses up as Hannah Montana and convinces Jackson to accompany her to the real estate agency where she works.  There, they must quickly retreat and hide in a nearby closet when Robby arrives.  In a heartfelt moment, Miley confesses to Robby that she misses her mom and Robby does the same.  The two reconcile and promise not to keep secrets from one another.

Miley gets a crush on a cute boy and everything is just perfect... that is until she discovers his dislike towards Hannah Montana and her music.  In an attempt to convince him to change his mind, Miley is willing to change Hannah's persona and finally realizes that people should be accepted for who they are... even pop stars.  Meanwhile, Jackson lands a date with a cute girl unaware that she is Cooper's younger sister who is home on a break from boarding school.

Miley lies to Lilly about a birthday party for Kelly Clarkson; Rico pulls a prank on Jackson.

When Robby's mom comes to town to support Jackson for making the finals in his volleyball tournament, Miley feels overlooked as it appears that "Ma'maw" could care less about the upcoming Hannah Montana performance for the Queen of England. Ultimately she and her grandmother have a heart to heart in which Miley realizes just how much Jackson is overshadowed by her Hannah Montana world and she and Robby preempt the Queen to arrive at his tournament on time.
