Valerie's perfectly organized life is thrown into chaos when a flea gets into her son's hair; her problems continue to pile up as she struggles to maintain self-control and go about her day.

When Valerie loses her job, all she wants to do is stay at home and sleep; after a week without hearing from her, her ex-husband Eric starts to worry.

After spending a week in a wellness center, refusing all help from doctors and psychologists, Valerie feels like she's ready to re-take control of her life.

Following her arrest, and her complaints against him, Valerie has an appointment with officer Phaneuf.

Without work to occupy her time during the week, and some unsuccessful attempts to rekindle old friendships, Valerie seeks out some new friends to spend her time with.

Valerie has to sell her house, so she has an open house, where she is surprised to see Officer Simon Phaneuf.
