The Kent Joint Response Unit is on standby for emergencies requiring urgent police and medical care; the team is called to a road traffic accident where a car's been rolled, but the driver's left the scene, reported to be drunk.

In Queenborough on the Isle of Sheppey, a 12-year-old boy is hit by a car at 50 mph; a man appears to have a medical episode after smashing the front of his car; a car crashes into a roundabout, leaving the passenger trapped in the wreckage.
