Farmer Lee Jones
For most of his career, Lee Jones was known exclusively to frequenters of Australia's live theater scene. Jones' anonymity ended when he was discovered by cable drama mogul Kurt Sutter, however. Sutter cast Jones at the head of the period drama series "The Bastard Executioner" (FX 2015-), effectively launching him to screen prominence all at once. Despite attempts at nabbing a screen career via minor appearances on TV shows like "Home and Away" (Seven Network 1988-) and "William & Sparkles' Magical Tales" (Nine Network/GO! 2010-), most of Jones' success fell with the realm of stage performance. Among his more notable theatrical credits included a production of "Frankenstein" (2013) with the Ensemble Theater. Jones' big break in TV acting came when "Sons of Anarchy" (FX 2008-2014) creator Kurt Sutter began casting a lead for his new series, "The Bastard Executioner" (FX 2015-). Sutter chose Jones to play Wilkin Brattle, a 14th century knight forced to undertake a new life.
