Chloé Dufour-Lapointe

Chloé Dufour-Lapointe was the middle child in a group of three moguls-skiing sisters but the first to compete at the Olympics. Born, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Chloé started freestyle skiing at age 10 after watching older sister Maxime compete for two years. At 15, she won two medals at the 2007 World Junior Championships, taking home the gold in dual moguls and bronze in moguls. She made her World Cup debut that December, just after turning 16. During the 2007-08 season, she was named the FIS World Cup Rookie of the Year after earning six top-10 finishes. She reached her first World Cup podium in March 2009, earning a bronze in the moguls at La Plagne in France. Dufour-Lapointe competed in her first Winter Olympics in Vancouver in 2010, placing fifth in the moguls. She competed in the World Championships the following year, finishing second to two-time Olympic champion Jenn Heil - her idol - for her first world championship medal. She won the dual moguls at the 2013 World Championships and finished in third overall during the 2013-14 season. She qualified to compete at the Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, in 2014, winning the silver behind younger sister Justine. That made them the third set of sisters to finish in the top two spots in the same Winter Olympic event; Maxime also competed in the event. Dufour-Lapointe continued to find success in the sport in the wake of the Sochi Games, winning her first career moguls Crystal Globe after six podium finishes in eight events during the 2015-16 season. In January 2018, Dufour-Lapointe qualified for her third Winter Olympics, in PyeongChang, South Korea, in February.
